QCraft Launches Robotaxi Fleet, Powered by NVIDIA DRIVE Orin, in Suzhou, China

Beijing, CHINA, Wednesday, September 21 ---- QCraft, a leading developer of self-driving solutions, today announced that its latest generation of production-ready autonomous driving (AD) solutions, powered by NVIDIA DRIVE Orin, will begin operations of a L4 passenger vehicle fleet in China.

QCraft is working with ride-hailing service provider, T3GO, to begin operations of robotaxis this month, offering safe and efficient shuttle services to the public in Suzhou city. It is one of the first companies in the industry to deploy and operate a robotaxi fleet based on DRIVE Orin.

DRIVE Orin is widely used by OEMs and other mobility providers as a safe and reliable automotive-grade solution for ADAS up to highly automated driving.

QCraft uses a dual DRIVE Orin configuration and in-house, full-stack AD software. QCraft is also the first in the industry to implement the urban NOA (Navigate on Autopilot) solution based on LiDAR for higher performance.

“As AD systems are used in increasingly complex road traffic scenarios, the demand for computing power is growing,” said Hou Cong, co-founder and CTO of QCraft. “The compute performance, stability and safety of DRIVE Orin enables us to offer a competitive edge with multi-sensor fusion perception, prediction and planning control and other functions in complex scenarios. This has allowed us to test and deploy some of the first DRIVE Orin-based L4 passenger vehicles in China, ensuring a safer and more comfortable experience for users.”

Liu Tong, general manager of NVIDIA China, notes: “DRIVE Orin has become the industry’s centralized compute platform for advanced driving systems. We are working with key innovators like QCraft to deliver the ultimate user experience. Together, we can deliver autonomous driving at scale for a wide range of urban mobility scenarios."

Recently, QCraft released a demo of an autonomous vehicle with DRIVE Orin and forward-facing 120-degree automotive-grade LiDAR. It showcases how the vehicle tackles challenges on urban roads, including complex scenarios such as intersections under overpasses with poor road conditions; navigation for multiple vehicles and large vehicles in mixed road conditions; precise positioning of multi-story parking buildings; and continuous cornering. The demo showcases the reliable perception, smart prediction, planning and control, and efficient closed-loop data capabilities of QCraft.

The automotive-grade DRIVE Orin delivers up to 254 TOPS of performance with a single configuration and up to 508 TOPS of performance with the dual configuration to run numerous deep neural networks simultaneously, and meet system safety standards such as ISO 26262 ASIL-D. The QCraft solution, which integrates the dual Orin configuration, meets the diversity and redundancy required for safe autonomous driving.

At NVIDIA GTC last November, QCraft announced its collaboration with NVIDIA and this past May, QCraft launched a new generation of automotive-grade, factory-installed, production-ready AD solutions with configurations that are adaptable and multiple applications.

Based on its technology stack, QCraft can meet the evolving needs of OEMs for cars, SUVs, MPVs, mini-buses and other models, and is applicable to functions such as autonomous lane changes, autonomous overtaking, U-turns, ramp entrances and exits, lateral collision avoidance and emergency braking, as well as diverse scenarios on highways, urban roads, intersections, elevated roads and complex ramps.
